The villa is located in a quiet town and the rooms are clean and tidy. However, during our stay we repeatedly found ants – not only in the kitchen and bathroom, but also in the bedroom, including in the bed, which was definitely unpleasant. It was also uncomfortable that a security camera was pointed directly at the o...utdoor relaxation area, pool and sun loungers. It made us feel watched while relaxing and reduced the sense of privacy. The biggest downside was the way the villa owner interacted with us. Although we had agreed that we would only meet her upon arrival and departure, she called and messaged us quite frequently during our stay. Upon arrival, she spent a long time explaining the house rules, including very detailed instructions about when and how much to use the air conditioning in the rooms. She was also very strict about quiet hours, requiring complete silence after 11 p.m. We fully understand that guests should not make excessive noise during quiet hours, but we were even told that after 11 p.m. it would be best not to talk outside at all, which felt like an excessive requirement. In the middle of our stay, the owner also came to the villa, supposedly just to check the water level in the pool. When she arrived, she tended to talk for quite a long time and at times came across as rather intrusive. We would have appreciated more privacy and less interference with our free time. The villa itself and its location are good, but the owner's behaviour and frequent involvement made it harder to feel fully relaxed and enjoy our privacy during the stay.Read more
